Defragmentation Hammer 1 charge per defrag

Use the hammer on equipment in your inventory (right-click the hammer → Use with…). Each use destroys the target item and consumes 1 charge. You receive scrap and shards based on the item's rarity.

Fixed rewards per equipment rarity (only rarity matters — not item level or upgrade level):

Mythic is the highest tier. Items with divine gems attached cannot be defragmented.

Not all items can be defragmented:

• Equipped items: Must be removed first
• Items with charges: Cannot be dismantled
• Locked items: Require prior unlocking
• Upgradable equipment only: Other item types are not eligible
• Mirrored items: Cannot be dismantled
• Items with attached divine gems: Cannot be dismantled
• Gem items and protected items: Cannot be defragmented

1. Keep the Defragmentation Hammer in your inventory
2. Right-click the hammer and choose Use with… on upgradable equipment (not equipped)
3. The item is destroyed and 1 hammer charge is consumed
4. Rewards depend on rarity only
5. Scrap and shards are added to your inventory automatically

Scrap and shards are used in Crafting and player trading.

Defragmentation is useful for:

• Clearing inventory: Free up space profitably
• Obtaining resources: Transform useless items into useful materials
• Economy: Recover value from items that will not be used
• Progression recycling: Common items give baseline Fate/Upgrade only; higher rarities are better for Ancient fragments
